NORWICH (CITY) GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Norfolk county city of Norwich has had at least 4 greyhound tracks in the past, and the City ground was on Sprowston Road and situated at 1° 18' E 52° 39' N. The Norwich City Stadium was a very small, tight track of just 322 yards, with short races run over 400 yards, standard races over 555 yards and distance races over 715 yards. It raced under official rules and first opened on 25th July 1939.

It finally closed on 7th August 1971.
